Championing the Future: Hon. Agho Olivier Voices Tubah Youth Aspirations at the National Assembly
The aspirations of the vibrant youths of Tubah Sub-Division have taken center stage at the National Assembly. As a staunch advocate for youth development, Hon. Agho Olivier Bamenju, Member of Parliament for Mezam North, directly confronted the government regarding economic empowerment pledges meant for the next generation.
As highlighted by Africa Newsweek (No. 061, Monday, 13th July 2026), the lawmaker pressed the state apparatus during a parliamentary plenary session over the implementation of President Paul Biya’s promise to allocate CFA 50 billion for youth development. Hon. Agho Olivier demanded an update from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, who assured that the government’s commitment remains intact and will be fulfilled at the appropriate time.
Standing Firm as the Voice of Tubah Youths
Further expanding on the parliamentary interrogation, The Median newspaper (No. 790, Tuesday, 14 July 2026) reported how Hon. Agho Oliver waylaid the Minister to throw explicit light on the promised FCFA 50 billion package.
Speaking authoritatively as the voice of his constituency, Hon. Agho Olivier strongly emphasized to the Minister that the youths of Tubah have already conceived highly attractive, innovative projects. He conveyed the palpable energy on the ground, stating that these ambitious young minds are anxiously waiting for the special presidential package to kickstart their enterprises and transform their communities.
“Our youths are not waiting with folded arms; they have done their homework, drafted excellent business projects, and are ready to contribute to nation-building. The government must now deliver on its promise.” – Hon. Agho Olivier Bamenju
